department of one

Privacy

This page covers the Department of One website, departmentofone.net. It's run by Milan Solarov, an independent developer based in Serbia. FitLog, the app, has its own privacy policy.

What the site collects

Nothing about you, unless you send a message through the inquiry form. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking cookies. If you switch between light and dark mode, your browser remembers that choice on your device, and it never reaches us.

The inquiry form

When you send a message, we receive the reason you chose, the service you asked about and when you need it (if the form asked), your name if you gave it, your email address and the message itself. It's stored in our database so I can read and answer it, and a copy is emailed to my inbox. We use it only to reply to you, and I delete it when you ask.

Before a message is accepted, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that it comes from a person and not a bot. The check loads only when you start using the form, not when you open the page. It runs in the background and uses your IP address, browser details such as the User-Agent, connection details and which site the check runs on. Cloudflare's use of this data is covered by its Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

Services involved

Some of these providers process data outside Serbia and the European Economic Area, including in the United States, and rely on recognized safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete anything you've sent, by writing to departmentofone.app@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection in Serbia (poverenik.rs), or to the data protection authority where you live.
